We have a 2006 Jenn Air dishwasher that has recently started making an off & on noise that occurs after tub has filled with water & it begins wash cycle...
Can you advise on diagnosing & fixing problem? ...and/or ... how many years we should expect to get from this dishwasher?

HI
When a dishwasher starts to make a loud noise, it usually means a piece of plastic or glass is stuck down inside the chopper. The blade is probably hitting the this material and causing a grinding noise/sound. Your dishwasher can last decades if taken care of properly.
