GE Top-Load Washer GTW465ASNWW Drainage Issue My GE top-load washer, model GTW465ASNWW, has stopped draining. Here’s a summary of the troubleshooting steps I’ve taken so far:
  1. Initial Problem: The washer wouldn’t drain despite multiple attempts to restart the cycle and manually drain it.
  2. Temporary Solution: After leaving the lid open for several hours, it eventually drained. The next load completed successfully, but the issue reoccurred, and I had to manually drain it again.
  3. Hitting the Machine: When it failed to drain during another cycle, I hit the side of the machine, and it began draining, but this was only a temporary fix.
  4. Checking for Blockages: I checked the drain pump and hose for blockages but found none.
  5. Replacing the Drain Pump: I discovered the drain pump was not functioning properly, so I replaced it. The washer worked perfectly for two loads.
  6. Current Issue: The washer has stopped draining again, and I am back to the original problem.
I need advice on further steps to resolve this persistent drainage issue.
