So, I've come to the conclusion that something is definitely caught in the drain area (pump or filter or something). The grinding type of sound only happens periodically (during draining cycle) and otherwise cleans the dishes. I've tried getting to the bottom of the washer by removing part by part, but after removing the screen and the first circular filter I couldn't figure how to get the arm pepaller off and the rest of the compartments to check. I did initially find broken glass in the screen, so I feel like there's more, but I just can't seem to figure out how to disessemble the rest of the washer parts. I've tried researching my specific model number, but can't seem to find the exact model that matches. Everything else just brings me up to where I previously had to stop. The grinding sound isn't worse, but it can't be good for the dishwasher so I would really appreciate any help or suggestions you can offer.
