My Whirlpool side by side stopped cooling suddenly and without warning. It was two weeks before I was able to return home to address the problem and found the frig was still plugged in - if that makes a difference. I found the start relay was bad and replaced it. It still will not start the compressor. Now I have a slight hum, but soon after (a minute or two) there is a spark from the overload and it shuts down. The Compressor does not get hot or run during this time. All other fans, lights, and electric components seem to be working fine. I tested the ohms on the compressor getting readings of 4/6/10. What do I check or do next?
