Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine goes from fill to spin and ends with overload error
I have a whirlpool Cabrio model WTW6800WWI washing machine. A few months ago I had a problem with the tub not floating so I took it apart and cleaned the shaft which looked like it was gummed up with soap residue, and it worked fine. Last week I started getting an overload error and the machine would go from Fill directly to drain (timer went from 31 minutes down to four minutes), the machine emptied , Spun, and stopped with the overload message. I checked the starter for cracks and found none. Youtube videos suggested new tub suspension rods. I just replaced the rods but I am having the same problem (cycle goes from spin to drain) and stops with the overload message. I ran the diagnostic program holding the buttons three seconds on and three seconds off for four cycles-it revealed no codes, flashed 88 and completed the tests c1-10 again with no codes. I can't think of anything else to replace except perhaps the tub shaft and bearings. Is it possible that could be my problem? If not, please advise what I should do next. I would greatly appreciate a speedy response! Thank you so much.
