I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer WTW5500xw1 and after finishing a load I noticed the clothes were still wet. I tried to drain and spin again but clothes were again wet. I ran the diagnostic and got a “stuck key” and “long drain” error/fault code. I pulled the drain pump and it appeared to be clear. I did another diagnostic and this time got “Shifter Fault” and “Suds Detection”. I went into test mode and could not verify that the drain pump was working or that the washer would spin or agitate. I could only hear an occasional clicking noise when testing. I figure that the shifter is bad and needs replacing, but would that stop the washer from draining as well? As it stands, I can power the machine on, but I can not start a cycle.
