My washer started out spinning and draining. Every now and then you would have to run another cycle to get it to do what it was supposed to. Then you had to put it on spin and drain cycle. Now it just does not spin and drain the clothes. It would spin on drain cycle but not now. What could this be? Any help is appreciated!

Does the washer agitate? Meaning it will wash the clothes but after washing it will not spin or drain? What type and model number is your washer? Front load, Top load?
It did agitate but now it just turns on and sits there. you can hear it sensing. top load. wtw5500wxo whirlpool.

Did you check continuity to the lid switch?
