Washing Machine hose drain issue

My Stackable washer has a hose problem. When it's time for the washer to drain I have to run in and put the hose in the bathtub. (it will not drain the way it's suppose to) I have to put the hose down or the water stays in. Then when the washer starts filling up again I have to run back and pick hose up or the water will just run out the hose. Then repeat it all for rinse cycle. Help!?!
