My husband and I just moved into a new rental property and the washing machine was GROSS. I don't think the previous tenants had cleaned it in the entire 4 years of the washers life. So we took the gasket off the door (it's a front loading Blomberg machine) to clean it and now we can't get the spring to stretch around to put the gasket back on. The spring is so stiff that even with 2 of us, we couldn't get it back on and now we don't know what to do. Any suggestions??
