Maytag top loader washing machine A506 - clothing is extra wet after washing...
My clothes have been coming out of the spin cycle "not as dry as they used to be".
I replaced the belts; the unit spins and ejects the water and spins the clothes, but the residual moisture % seems to be about 90% (v. 70%, which is what I am guessing it is supposed to be for this 30 year old Maytag top loader).
What's next? I am wondering if replacing the springs and rollers is going to make a difference, or is there another issue (brake assembly? bearings? But there are not noticeable noises or smells). What do you think?
