Maytag Neptune front loader belt problems

Maytag Neptune front loading washing machine model # MAH3000AWW. I changed the belt on my washing machine it has a non adjustable belt wheel and i put the belt on and it sits to far back and when i rotate the wheel the belt falls off the back and its on the furthest ridge away from the motor on the pull.
