My husband has replaced this dryer belt at least 7 times over the last 2 years. The repair is lasting less and less time with each new belt. The most recent belt was on for less than two months. He\\\\'s also replaced the pulley once in that time. Two belts ago, we re-did the repair immediately due to a skunk smell we could only assume was coming from the new belt. I took a look at the most recent belt when we pulled it out on hopes of finding a permanent solution and it is basically melted down to the threads every half inch or less the entire length of the belt. There were tiny particles of rubber near the motor and pullry system and he says it\\\\'s like that every time and he vacuums it out every time. We\\\\'ve also replaced the latch a couple of times when it\\\\'s broken, but we still have troubke on and off with it taking longer to dry/multiple runs to fully dry clothes. What can we do differently to orevent this from snapping all the time (we have adjusted to making extra sure we\\\\'re doing smaller loads more often already).
