Attempted a technique I found online involving a neodymium magnet and my refrigerator's door seal/gasket. According to the method, running a neodymium magnet around the fridge door seal 50 times in the same direction would enhance its sealing capability. However, after doing this, it appears I've demagnetized the entire seal, and now the door won't seal shut properly.
In an attempt to rectify this, I followed another suggestion which involved reversing the poles on the neodymium magnets by joining them together, and then running them around the seal in the same direction as before. Unfortunately, this hasn't resolved the issue.
I'm looking for any advice on how to fix the demagnetized door seal so that my fridge door can close and seal properly again.
