My 15-year-old Kenmore front load washer model 970-C41062-00 will not spin when set on the regular cycle. The timer seems to work as the knob moves to the end of the spin cycle, but nothing happens in that last phase. However, if set to Perma-press, the spin function will work, although now even that has become intermittent. Works only on the slow, alternating spin sometimes, but if I set it to work a second time, then it's ok. Water is being pumped out ok. Machine is also quite noisy while trying to spin.
