How do I replace a broken baffle on GE Washer WCVH6400J1WW

I tried taking the top off and removing the hose, but the screw hole for the baffle is more toward the center of the tub and I can't access it from there... Can I access the baffle screw from the bottom of the machine... like the drain hose...? Any help is much appreciated. -Tim
