Is there an easier way to tell if I need a new thermal fuse or heating element without completely taking the dryer apart? Dryer gets warm but takes about 2 hours to dry.
If dryer is heating even a little, then thermal fuse is not bad. You can first check the lint hose and make sure there is no blockage. Check wall to if hose goes into wall. If clear of lint, you can check your heat settings to be sure the dryer is on high. If all looks ok, then taking the dryer apart will be the next step. You need a meter to begin testing the thermostats and everything else that involves heating your dryer.
