A KitchenAid microwave has 2 light-bulbs, both of which are replaceable. One light bulb is located inside of the microwave and is intended to light up the interior of microwave. Do you have a model number of your KitchenAid microwave oven? The engineers have made changing the bulb on your KitchenAid combo microwave difficult. Here is the procedure for changing the light bulb on a KitchenAid microwave:
  1. Remove the trim that covers the gap on the oven and the microwave and pull the microwave out.
  2. Remove the outer cover to access the light bulb.
  3. There are multiple screws that you need to remove to get to the lamp.
  4. Once you gain access remove and replace the light bulb and put the micro back together.
