I have a Hotpoint oven, model R B525 C3WH. The bottom heating element stopped working so I purchased a new one to install. When I went to install it, I noticed that the one of the connecting terminals and wires were scorched. I need to replace this wire.The wire is a UL Style 3173 XLPE. I can\\'t seem to find this wire in lengths less than 250ft, while I only need 3-4ft. My question is: can I substitute a silicone insulated wire in place of the XLPE as long as it\\'s rated for 600V, 125 degrees C, and at least the same gauge?
