My GE model whdsr209daww does not spin or agitate. My lid switch and water level control both seems to be working fine. The pulley/belt and agitator rotate in one direction right before the spin and a slight rotation in the opposite direction right after with nothing in between. I don't know what to troubleshoot next--please help.

Test lid switch mechanically and electrically. Also be sure drain pump is clear of debris. Then test machine again. If still no go, have a look at clutch/trans.
