GE Side-by-Side Refrigerator will not come on

Model # GSH25JSXNSS GE Side-by-Side Refrigerator will not come on. Only the light comes on. We were having issues with it freezing up in and the fridge side was not cold. Took off the heater defroster to check to see it that was bad and it is now the fridge will not come back on.
