Garbage disposal running but water is standing in sink and there is a leak from the bottom of disposal

I woke up to standing water in my sink and when I ran the disposal it didn't sound right but turned, but water did not go down. I then noticed there was a leak coming from the bottom of the disposal. Is this possibly simply a clogged line or more? I do have a home warranty but I won't have anyone coming out until the first of the week and I would rather not have standing water in my sink for the next 5 days and the inability to run my dishwasher.
