Garbage disposal running but has sitting water

I checked all pipes and hoses but found nothing, all clean but water still sits when I run the garbage disposal. Poured baking soda & vinegar, did not work either. Garbage Disposal seems to be working. When I turn on the fawcett  without running the disposal water drains but not with the disposal on.
