The switch clicks when it is moved manually. Appliance Repair Questions Staff replied 11 years ago Just because the lid switch clicks does not mean it is working. The clicking means it is working mechanically, but it may be failing electrically. Best thing to do is remove and replace the lid switch. Lid switch is generally around $20 on Amazon.
