I took apart my 17+ year old Frigidaire gallery gas dryer because it won't heat.
The drum would spin and the fan would run.
It just wouldn't heat.
With the drum out so I could see what was happening, I noticed that even the ignitor will get white hot when I started the dryer on high heat.
But gas didn't seem to get released to burn.
Can the ignitor function if a thermal fuse is blown?
Or does the fact that the ignitor functions mean my thermal fuses are fine?
Does removing the drum prevent gas from being released since the proper air flow pattern isn't in place?
