Kenmore Heavy Duty 2 way tumble front loader. Model 960-C45062-00 Series XC50606262. Will not spin, it gets to Rinse, makes a grinding sound and stops. It drains most of the way but leaves a little in the bottom. I have tried the rest process of unplugging for 1 minute, plugging in, open/closing door 6 times in 12 seconds then a small load with nothing in it.

If the washer is making a grinding sound, we would suggest to not run it until you have it fixed. <br><br>Obviously a grinding sound is not good. Further running it may cause severe damage to your washer. <br><br>What you need to do is find what is causing the grinding noise. <br><br>Unplug washer and remove service panel. Look in with flashlight and visually inspect all parts in detail. You should find something that does not look right or metal or plastic shavings under the washer. Find out what part is bad and then order a new part online.
