I have a 15-year-old Fisher & Paykel E5211 refrigerator, and recently I've been facing an issue with the door not closing properly. Usually, when the door isn't shut correctly, the fridge beeps to alert me. However, last night, I went to bed without realizing that the door was not fully closed. The next morning, I noticed that the light inside the fridge was off, and the display lights where you adjust the temperature (possibly the thermostat area) were also not functioning. Interestingly, the freezer compartment, which is located above the fridge, seems to be working fine.
Given the age of the refrigerator and these symptoms, I'm concerned about what might be causing this issue. Could it be related to the door not closing properly, or is it indicative of a more significant problem, like a thermostat or electrical issue? I'm looking for help to diagnose the problem and any suggestions on how to fix it. Any advice on steps I should take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
