My front loader was not spinning and was making a grinding noise. The pump was still working so I replaced the stator and that fixed the problem. Upon replacing the stator, I noticed that the teeth in the center of the rotor that align into the grooves of the tub shaft have eroded away. Does where the tub shaft's grooves and the rotor's teeth slide together help to grip and spin the tub? Or is that the job of the magnets. Like I said it's now spinning fine and the teeth in the center of new rotors look kind of weak and not fit to do the job of holding the the tub shaft as it's spins. The teeth in the center look more to just align the two part together more than anything else. So do I need to replace the rotor?
