I see a lot of water pooled in the door seal gasket of our WFW72HE front loader. I got an E9 F1 error saying it was not draining, though it went away. We have dogs that shed and a fair amount of hair ends up in the wash, so I figure I should clean the drain pump filter as suggested on various sites. However, looking at the parts diagram I see a drain pump that seems located under the left side of the drum where it can't be accessed, and no filter listed at all.
Does this model lack a filter? What maintenance steps can I take to clear any nasty crud and help water drain from the door seal? Is it worth removing the seal itself?
I see no useful info in the care and maintenance manual from whirlpool.
Thank you for any suggestions!
