Kenmore top load washing machine won’t spin final spin cycle

I have a Kenmore top load washing machine, Model 110.21202010. I bought this set new & have never had any trouble until now. I had an imbalanced load of towels going into the final spin. I heard it clunk a couple of times, so I went in to check on it, & it had drained the water out but did not spin. I tried to rearrange the towels but the machine wouldn't start back, so I canceled the cycle. I took the load out & had to wring them out by hand in the bathtub. Now when I try to start it, the green FILL light comes on solid & the red LID LOCK light comes on & flashes while the lid clicks, trying to lock & unlock, but it doesn't lock. I tried to reset it by unplugging it for a few minutes, then plugged it back in, opened & closed the lid 6 times within 12 seconds, but nothing. Is there an imbalance switch or actuator that maybe needs to be reset? Or maybe the lid lock is messed up?  Thanking you in advance, Lisa

The imbalance may have vibrated the wiring harness loose. You can check that by removing the front panel and just be sure that all wires are in place and secure. If they are then most likely you need a new lid switch as it may be defective.
