Whirlpool top load washer, checked both fill and drain hoses and also removed pump.  No obstructions and can easily blow air through both hoses at the pump when removed.  Pump spins freely.  Washer fills with water and agitates normally but will not then move to the next cycle by draining water and spinning etc...  When full of water you can select other cycles and can hear a slight buzzing in the control panel but nothing happens.  After manually draining the tub you can then select a wash cycle and the washer refills and starts first cycle by then stalls and won't drain again.  I'm thinking faulty timer but would like feedback before replacing.  Also any additional troubleshooting I can do?
