I have a GE washing machine that is 10 years old by my best estimate. Model: WBXR2060V1WWSerial: MTI20278GA couple months ago the washer started making a loud electrical buzzing noise when it hit the draining portion of the cycle and wouldn't spin. At the very end of the cycle it would spin normally and everything would be fine. Sometimes it would work fine throughout the whole cycle and sometimes it wouldn't. Now it won't spin properly at any point while draining. The agitator still works just fine and the water is draining from the drum though the clothes are left sopping wet. This morning after a cycle was done I noticed a burning rubber/electrical smell coming from the drum. There is also a moldy type odor coming from the drum when it's empty despite the lid always being open when not in use. I've read that it could be anything from a clogged drain pipe to a broken belt, to a broken motor. Does this sound like something worth repairing or should I just get a new washer?
