I just ran a load of sheets and towels and a pillow - I think I overloaded it. I've tried a "reset" from another online blog but would like some suggestions/advice on anything we can do to repair it ourselves instead of buying new right now??

The machine should function even after overloading. Your particular washer may have a sensor. Read the manual and find out for sure. Did the machine have extreme vibration and a walking motion when it was overloaded? Send us model number and brand please.
