How to replace a freezer evaporator fan

The evaporator fan is not working on my Amana side by side refrigerator, Model #SRD20S4WP1190801WW. I have confirmed power to the unit by bypassing the defrost thermostat. I have looked online for a replacement fan motor, but none of them look like the one I have. Mine has an integrated circuit board attached to it, and I need to know if I can use a fan without the circuit board. Sears sells replacement fans, but their website shows a substitution for the part that does not contain a circuit board. Can you advise me whether it would be okay to use a standard evaporator fan? Thank you. Dave Middleton dkmiddleton@gmail.com

If Sears shows that particular replacement without a circuit board on the fan, you may want to call them and ask a few questions. See if they have a return policy where if the replacement parts on there website match what you need but end up not being the correct part, you can return it.
