I have a top load GE washer that will not spin and drain after having electrical trouble in my home. I have done a "reset" that I saw online might help. It will try now to spin but only for a quick second then stops. could you give me ideas on what else to do? Was thinking it could be the pump but the fan on the front of it spins so it is getting power?

What type of electrical problem did you have? Did the washer start to have issues after the electrical problem?

The lid switch may be faulty. A bad lid switch will cause the washer to not spin or drain. This may not be the issue as if the washer motor does spin for a moment and the stops, you may have other issues. Bad capacitor, switch, motor… etc.

Can you give us more info on the electrical issue you had in your home? This may help us to determine exact issue.
